Disney World is Always a Good Idea

As a Florida native, I’ve been crazy lucky to have grown up with Walt Disney World! And since I’m basically just a 5’5″ child, where better to release my child-like heart than at the Happiest Place On Earth!?

Now, I have always been a fiercely loyal Disney World lover. I grew up with it. I had to love it best! But, I lived in Los Angeles for two years, and to my surprise, I discovered that Disneyland was completely amazing. Still, I held my Disney World loyalty. But I hadn’t been for nearly ten years. The last time I was there was midnight to 4am during Grad Night as a senior in high school! Lots of shows and rides shut down during grad night, so even on that trip, I didn’t get a full Disney World experience. So, I was thrilled to finally get to go back. And I loved it. I really did. But I just might love Disneyland more! Gah! Do I have to decide? I don’t? Good! I choose both!

Something else that changed, was my love for Epcot! As a kid, and as most kids, Epcot wasn’t my favorite of the parks. I didn’t really know why, I just remember being bored and wanting to get to Magic Kingdom as fast as possible! Now? I totally understand why the parents and adults love Epcot so much. It’s awesome! I got to go twice during the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival and I ate soooo much. Totally worth it. And now I can’t wait to go back. Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios are definitely my favorite of the Florida parks now. (Don’t judge me, but I’m still calling it MGM! I can’t help it.)

If you’re headed to Disney in Florida, be prepared: major holidays, summer, and spring break are very busy times at Magic Kingdom. In fact, most times are very busy at Magic Kingdom, but be over-prepared if you’re going when schools are on break. And don’t forget… it’s Florida! It’s HOT. All. The. Time. Dress cool and comfortably. Wear hats. Wear sunscreen! You will regret it if you feel like a lobster on day two. I promise. And don’t worry if you get a wild thunderstorm. It will probably be gone in an hour or two. That’s how we roll in Florida. Sudden storms, then perfect skies. Plus, if you can deal with rain, it will likely help shorten up the lines! Can’t beat that!

Women’s Reef Rover Low Sneaker – These are my one of my favorite long-wearing sneaker that isn’t a cross-trainer. I’m wearing them in the picture where I’m throwing up peace signs! Haha! These Reef’s are super cute, come in lots of colors, have awesome arch support and cushion, and most of all, are ridiculously comfortable. I’ve worn all different kinds of shoes to Disney, and these are my number one choice!

Enjoy! And I’d love to hear some of your favorite Disney World stories!
